First-year owner-op doing this the spreadsheet way: my drives are at 6/32" and I'd rather buy ahead of winter than pay truck-stop prices in a November panic.

What I'm looking for:
• 8× drive tires, 295/75R22.5, load range G or H
• 12/32" or better — bring a tread gauge, I will
• Matched set strongly preferred, or two matched pairs per axle
• Quality retreads on solid casings considered if the price makes sense
• No regrooves, no weather-cracked sidewalls, no repairs in the shoulder

Budget: $1,200–1,600 for the set depending on tread and brand. That's real money for real tires — I know what new Sailuns cost, so price accordingly.

I'm in Atlanta, home most weekends, can drive up to ~2 hours for the right set (Macon, Chattanooga, Greenville all doable). Cash on inspection, I load them myself.
